The text of most recent dream reports from participants in the Demographic Survey 2010 and other sources. The exact question for the Demographic Survey 2010: Please describe your most recent dream, either from last night or within the last week, in as much detail as possible. The response is limited to 3000 characters. I dreamt I was in a camp or sleep-over setting with many people sleeping in one room & there was snow outside. I recall not being able to go out and discovering my husband, instead of coming inside, was outside with friends of mine and they were no intended on letting me know they were going out someplace to have fun. I was very hurt & lashed out telling him I was going to leave him. The dream then became more like a movie I was watching but not fully participating in with my husband and another youngish boy investigating some crazy old, lightless factory with dead animals everywhere. They started to break into a caged off area and I remember thinking they shouldn't bc there was a large hole inside and a trap of some sort but they went into the area anyway. I was woken up as they found chocolate set as bait in a trap.

Godzilla attacking my town, and I could see parts of it from my window.I could see his head over buildings in the distance and planes and military jets flying in. It was night. I thought I had woken up and ran to my Mom's room bc I had a bad dream, and she rolled over and had Golzilla's face. I screamed in my sleep and one of my parents woke me up. I was still in my own bed.

The text of worst nightmare reports from participants in the Demographic Survey 2010 and other sources. Exact question: Please describe the worst nightmare you can remember, from any period of your life, in as much detail as you can. Response is limited to 3000 characters. It was like a movie. I was myself, but could also see scenes happening outside myself. I had it when I was in elementary school. It began w/my older brother & I playing in the front yard of our suburban home. A car drives up and a man driving asks if our parents were home. We instantly knew he was a murderous child molester and ran screaming to the house. Our parent immediately packed us into the car and we drove to 'the mall" though it was nothing I recognized. This molester-man was chasing us through the nearly empty mall. We were all separated from one another. If I jumped high enough, I could fly through the halls away from him and in search of my brother and parents. Eventually I met up w/my brother and we escaped the mall and drove home (he drove). It then skipped to a scene where my brother and I were in our living room and talking to a third party about now having to care for ourselves and this overwhelming feeling of loss and that our parents were dead. The last thing I remember is trying to feed the unresponsive body of my mother tea. I woke up crying.
