The survey included several demographic questions, plus one about dreams (Q1005): "We are interested in hearing the story of an especially memorable dream you had, from any time in your life. Please try to recall as many details as possible, including the setting, characters, colors, actions, and any feelings or thoughts you had in the dream."
2011 Children's Dream Survey

SUMMARY:Dream reports and other data from 1200 Americans between the ages of 8 and 18 responding to an online survey in May 2011, conducted on Kelly Bulkeley's behalf by Harris Interactive. The standard "YouthQuery" survey includes questions about gender, age, race/ethnicity, current grade in school, school location (e.g., urban, suburban, rural), and school type (e.g., public, parochial). I added the following question (Q1005): "We are interested in hearing about a dream that you had and remember a lot about. Please try to tell us everything you remember about the dream, including where you were, who else was there, what happened, how you felt, what you were thinking during the dream and how it ended. Please also tell us about how old you were when you had the dream."
